# What is pacs.008

pacs.008 (FIToFICustomerCreditTransfer) is the ISO 20022 XML message that is replacing SWIFT MT103 for cross-border customer credit transfers. It carries the same business information (debtor, creditor, amount, currency, charges) in structured XML, with the UETR in the UETR/InstrId element.
