Ohmyfin risponde: How do I find the UETR in my online banking?

Ohmyfin risponde qui sotto (in inglese).

In most online banking platforms, open the cross-border / international payment receipt, then look for a field labelled UETR, GPI reference, end-to-end ID, or transaction reference. The UETR is always 36 characters long in the format 8-4-4-4-12. If you can only download the MT103 PDF, the UETR is in field 121 inside block 3 of the message.

Bank-specific paths (correct as of 2026): HSBC -> Payments > Sent payments > click the payment > 'GPI tracker'. Barclays -> Payments > International > Payment details > 'Reference'. Wise -> Activity > the transfer > 'Show transfer details' > 'Reference'. Revolut -> Transactions > the transfer > 'Reference'. Chase -> Wire centre > Activity > the wire > 'Wire reference'. Deutsche Bank -> Online banking > Transactions > International > 'UETR'.

If your bank's portal doesn't show the UETR, request the MT103 message copy from the bank (this is your right as the payment originator) and look for tag 121 inside block 3. It will look like: {3:{121:12345678-1234-4abc-9def-1234567890ab}}.

Once you have it, paste it into Ohmyfin to see the live cross-bank status without any bank login.
