ACWP (AcceptedWithoutPosting) is an ISO 20022 / pacs.002 status code that means: Accepted but not yet posted to the beneficiary account.
Details
Often used by banks that need to do post-settlement processing (FX conversion, internal posting) before the beneficiary sees the funds.
ACWP appears in the status field of a SWIFT payment status query. Ohmyfin surfaces this status when you look up a payment by UETR.
If your payment shows ACWP, the next step depends on the code: ACCC means done; ACSP / ACWP means wait; PDNG means contact the bank holding it; RJCT means request a return and start over.
Quick facts
In progress
If you are the sender
Settlement accepted with a "WithinPayment" caveat — usually a partial-credit or fee-deduction notice.
If you are the beneficiary
Funds are progressing; in some cases a partial amount will be credited and the rest follows.
Next step: Re-check the tracker the next business day to confirm progression to ACSC or ACCC.
